To complete the story of your family's journey, you can book me for your in-studio newborn photo shoot once baby arrives.
You'll walk away with a collection of precious photographs that you’ll be able to look back on and melt your heart, even when your baby is all grown up.
Your Delight Images family portrait experience is $200 which includes the below, and an 8x12" fine art print ($450 value). Families typically choose to invest $1500-2000 in their artwork, however there is no minimum spend and no obligation to purchase.

I’m just so exhausted and overwhelmed – a maternity photo shoot is the last thing on my mind.
Welcoming a new life into the world is a life-changing experience (I’ve been through it three times myself). Having pregnancy photos with may feel like it’s at the bottom of the list, since you’re so busy preparing for baby.
Your maternity photo shoot is the first chapter of your baby’s story and captures the love, anticipation and excitement before birth. I make the process as easy and effortless as possible – we book a date, I’ll send you my simple styling tips, we do the photo shoot (which takes around 30-45 minutes), and we’ll go through the photos together once you’ve done your newborn shoot.
When is the best time to book a shoot?
The ideal time for your pregnancy photo shoot is around 28-34 weeks – far along enough that your bump is nice and big, but not too close to baby’s due date.
Are the photos outdoors or in the studio?
It’s entirely up to you! My studio in Sutherland is a great option for your maternity photos. It’s private and air-conditioned, and if you prefer to do more tasteful semi-nude portraits it’s the perfect setting. Otherwise if you’re more into nature, we can go to a stunning reserve near the studio which runs along a river. Scroll down to see examples of both shoots.
Can I include other family members in the photos?
Of course! Your partner, other children and pets are just as much a part of the family and deserve to be included in your family photos. I’ll take a wide range of photos (including the whole family, and solo portraits of you) so you’ll have plenty to choose from.
I hate being in front of the camera – how can you make me look good?
I provide a comfortable, guided experience—no awkward posing, just natural, flattering moments that make every parent feel at ease and beautiful in front of the camera. You can trust in my 18+ years of experience in natural posing and flattering angles, to highlight what truly makes you beautiful.
Can you help me decide where to display my photos at home?
I don’t just deliver digital files—I work with you to design artwork that fits your home and lifestyle, turning your memories into meaningful, lasting displays.
I have no idea what to wear – help!
I offer personalised styling guidance in the lead up to your family photo shoot. Whether you’re more into bright colours, or a more muted palette, I’ll can help you find a cohesive style for the whole family so you’ll walk away with photos that reflect your true personalities.
How do we choose our photos?
After your session, we’ll sit down in the studio and go through your photos on the big screen (with drinks and snacks, of course). I’ll then guide you through choosing your favourites and I’ll help you design the perfect artwork to suit your home and tastes. You’ll finalise and pay for your order at this appointment.
How much do extra photos cost?
I have spent years carefully sourcing the finest craftspeople around Australia, to bring you a stunning range of hand-made artwork products. From albums, to framed prints and canvases, I have a wide range of exciting ways for you to enjoy your family portraits at home. Pricing starts from $250 for desktop art, and $580 for wall art. With over 18 years under my belt as a full-time photographer, I spent 12 years photographing weddings before founding Delight Images in 2020.
Being a dad of three gorgeous girls has shown me how precious family photos are, and I’m passionate about capturing those real, raw moments that families can cherish forever.
