My son really enjoyed his photo shoot. It was a great opportunity to get some headshots for future auditions and to build a portfolio. Jay was passionate about his work and maintained a friendly and professional demeanor, making my son feel comfortable. He collaborated with my son to create some amazing photos. We are very happy with the results, and it was difficult to make the final selection.

Long story short
We attended a baby expo for our third child to see if there were anything new to help us with the third child however we were wrong. It was all the same things there. Nothing special at all.
Then we met Jay
We signed up for a photo shoot a few weeks after our third child was born.
His professionalism in regards to timing was correct.
His patience whilst at the photo shoot was outstanding.
The photo shoot overall was very interesting. This is only because three children played a part of this.
However with ideas and treats we got the job done together.
Again thank you for your patience
Just only a few days after everything was ready, And we had a meeting online this online meeting kind of failed (network issues 2025)however it looked absolutely amazing so I asked him to send me a video of the same outcome as he did. We watch this with the children and they absolutely loved it off-line.
Furthermore we selected our images and agreed to a selection he had put together for us.
We received these beautiful prints that were taken by J.
And also professionally touched up by J.
I have one comment with the prints we paid a premium for the timber around Shadow line print except the timber Is completely bare with no coating whatsoever. I only recommend a Matte clear finish on the prints which I Will have my Painter complete them to have them perfect.
Overall he knows exactly what he’s doing.
The price is definitely a premium but you do get what you pay for.
We were slightly disappointed on one point because if you spend so many dollars you were guaranteed all the photos including touchups however it was only a link. I’m just going to put it out there. I would’ve expected a USB drive at least. (Very disappointed)
I spent over an hour alone transferring the files onto a USB regardless I’m probably going to go back to him to have these printed the same way as what we received was absolutely outstanding.
I’ll try out one of the downloaded files and print them and again post another review.
Overall
I highly recommend his services.
Having three kids I would probably not pick the studio again as the parking was insane and with three kids in one room as you know can be quite difficult.
I would pick my own spot next time

I was pretty nervous and overwhelmed with the thought of having a photo shoot with our newborn. Jay put my wife and I completely at ease. He knew exactly what shots to take, and how best to take them, even when our little one was fussing and non-compliant.
Jay took control and gave us time to relax and realy enjoy the experience. In fact, the three hours that we spend in his studio were some of the most relaxing of our newborn period. We also got to 'step back' and see our newborn from a different perspective.
I would highly reccomend Jay to anyone who is thinking of getting a photo shoot with their newborn!

Jay was professional, patient and knew exactly what he was doing. He even accommodated our request to do a newborn photoshoot outdoors as opposed to in the studio. The result? Absolute perfection! We had a maternity shoot with Jay a month ago, and it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I aren’t very comfortable in front of the camera, but Jay was so down to earth and easy to work with that we felt relaxed right away. We were absolutely thrilled with how the photos turned out. We’re hoping to work with Jay again once our twins arrive. Thank you!

We had sunset photos planned, but Jay reached out that afternoon to explain the weather wouldn’t give us the look we were hoping for and suggested rescheduling. His communication and care were greatly appreciated which was also evident in the post photo session. We are a family of 5 with teenage kids and a toddler in tow, on the day, he was able to navigate with care and respect each of our kids to get images that captured each of their personalities. Thank you for capturing the unspoken essence of our family and a keepsake of this moment in time.

We did our newborn and family portraits with Jay and would highly recommend him. The whole day went so smoothly—Jay has such a calming presence. When we saw the photos, we couldn’t believe how beautiful they turned out. The hardest part was not getting carried away with how many we printed, but the ones we chose look perfect in our home.

I’m a portrait photographer based in the beautiful Sutherland Shire in Sydney.
Being a dad to three (STUNNING) girls has shown me just how important it is to be in the photos, not just taking them.
My approach is super simple: I get to know you,, keep the session relaxed and fun, and create portraits that actually feel like you.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me at home with my crew, baking banana bread in the air fryer and having cuddles with Bonnie (our sooky blue Staffy).

WHERE DO THE PHOTO SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?
My airy, private, light-filled studio is based in Sutherland (about 45 minutes south of Sydney CBD). Choose from a studio session or an outdoor session at a beautiful river-side reserve near the studio.
I hate being in front of the camera – how can you make me look good?
I provide a comfortable, guided experience—no awkward posing, just natural, flattering moments that make every parent feel at ease and beautiful in front of the camera. You can trust in my 18+ years of experience in natural posing and flattering angles, to highlight what truly makes you beautiful.
Can you help me decide where to display my photos at home?
I don’t just deliver digital files—I work with you to design artwork that fits your home and lifestyle, turning your memories into meaningful, lasting displays.
My kids refuse to sit still – I can never get good photos of them! Can you handle this?
Whether your family is loud and chaotic, or quiet and reserved, my goal as a family portrait photographer is to capture your energy and vibe so when you look at your photos you’ll think, “that’s totally us!”. If we’re outdoors, I’ll let your kids explore, climb trees, go in for big hugs, and splash in the water while I capture every beautiful childhood moment. If we’re in the studio, I’ll let the kids jump on the furniture (don’t tell my wife), and have dance competitions.

I offer personalised styling guidance in the lead up to your family photo shoot. Whether you’re more into bright colours, or a more muted palette, I’ll can help you find a cohesive style for the whole family so you’ll walk away with photos that reflect your true personalities.
How do we choose our photos?
After your session, we’ll sit down in the studio and go through your photos on the big screen (with drinks and snacks, of course). I’ll then guide you through choosing your favourites and I’ll help you design the perfect artwork to suit your home and tastes. You’ll finalise and pay for your order at this appointment.
