One of the big benefits of having your maternity photo shoot in the studio is that it’s private and intimate, so if you are comfortable showing more skin (such as your bare belly, or being nude or semi-nude) it’s the perfect setting for it. I’m the only person in the studio on the day so your privacy is ensured.
In studio, I can also create some beautiful artistic black and white and silhouette images. Here are some ideas on what to wear to your studio maternity photo shoot.
Fully clothed
If you prefer to be fully clothed, wear a snug plain black or white dress or a body suit.
Showing your belly
If you’re comfortable showing your belly, wear jeans with a crop top or bra, or a skirt and short top/bra.
Semi nude/nude
If you’re happy to show more skin, wear nude coloured undies with no top, or lingerie. I will make sure to pose you carefully so that your more personal body parts are covered up!
Family members
For partners, a plain matching t-shirt with jeans looks great. They can go shirtless if they’re comfortable (which works really well and conveys a sense of intimacy if you’re showing some skin). If you have pets or other children, they are welcome to be part of your maternity photo shoot.
Feel free to bring a few outfit options so we can mix and match – there are nice big bathrooms which you can change in.
