I’m just so exhausted and overwhelmed – a family photo shoot is the last thing on my mind.

Welcoming a new life into the world is a life-changing experience (I’ve been through it three times myself). Having photos with your new baby may feel like it’s at the bottom of the list. I’ve heard so many mums book sessions with me with older kids, and saying how much they regret missing out on photos of the newborn stage – after all, they’ll never be this small again.

I offer a gentle, baby-led session with a relaxed pace, ensuring you don’t have to worry about anything. I handle everything—from guiding you through the session to capturing every tiny, precious detail—so you can simply enjoy the experience.

What if my baby doesn’t settle or sleep?

There’s a common misconception that your baby needs to be asleep for your family photo shoot. This is absolutely not the case! Some of my families’ favourite photos of their baby are when they are awake. Most of the time at your session will be spent nursing and feeding your baby so that they’re comfortable and happy. I have years of experience in wrapping and soothing babies to help them relax and settle so you can rest easy knowing that I’ll get beautiful photos of your baby.

Can I include older siblings and pets in the photos?

Of course! Your other babies (including furry ones) are just as much a part of the family and deserve to be included in your family photos. Before I take a single photo, I take time to build rapport with your other children and get them comfortable in my studio. For younger kids, I get their photos done first so they can have a break while I focus on your baby.

I hate being in front of the camera – how can you make me look good?

I provide a comfortable, guided experience—no awkward posing, just natural, flattering moments that make every parent feel at ease and beautiful in front of the camera. You can trust in my 18+ years of experience in natural posing and flattering angles, to highlight what truly makes you beautiful.

Can you help me decide where to display my photos at home?

I don’t just deliver digital files—I work with you to design artwork that fits your home and lifestyle, turning your memories into meaningful, lasting displays.

I have no idea what to wear – help!

I offer personalised styling guidance in the lead up to your family photo shoot. Whether you’re more into bright colours, or a more muted palette, I’ll can help you find a cohesive style for the whole family so you’ll walk away with photos that reflect your true personalities.

How do we choose our photos?

After your session, we’ll sit down in the studio and go through your photos on the big screen (with drinks and snacks, of course). I’ll then guide you through choosing your favourites and I’ll help you design the perfect artwork to suit your home and tastes. You’ll finalise and pay for your order at this appointment.

How much do extra photos cost?

I have spent years carefully sourcing the finest craftspeople around Australia, to bring you a stunning range of hand-made artwork products. From albums, to framed prints and canvases, I have a wide range of exciting ways for you to enjoy your family portraits at home. Pricing starts from $250 for desktop art, and $580 for wall art. Most of my families choose to invest $1500-2000 in their family portrait artwork, though there is no minimum spend and no obligation to purchase. You can discover more about my artwork range here.
