Why I'm doing this

Hey, I'm Jay!

I’ve been experimenting with some new creative directions in the studio lately – different lighting, different techniques, different ways of capturing movement – and I’ve reached the point where I need real dancers to test them properly.

So I’m opening this up. I’m personally selecting 3 dancers to collaborate with me on this – you bring the movement and the energy, I’ll bring the new ideas, and we’ll see what we make together. In exchange for working with me and letting me share the results, your session is completely covered.

I review every application myself. I’m looking for dancers who are genuinely up for something a bit different – not just a standard shoot, but something we’re building together. If that sounds like you, I think we’ll have a lot of fun.

Everything you need to know.

Not at all. Most people say they’re not great in front of the camera – and most of those same people are surprised by how natural it feels once we’re in the session. I’ll guide you through every moment and keep the mood relaxed and fun.

We’ll talk through this before your shoot. The session includes multiple looks and costume changes, so bring what feels like you – performance wear, practice wear, something a bit more polished. I’ll guide you on what works best in the studio.

To say thank you for applying, I’m offering an exclusive discount off a full photo shoot, for all dancers who aren’t accepted.

My studio is in Sutherland – about 45 minutes south of Sydney CBD with easy parking. Dancers from all across Sydney make the trip and say it’s well worth it.
